Printable Acetate & Digital Art Projects / Ideas

Dimensional Butterflies - Finished Projects
Below you can see two ideas I created this week incorporating the acetate butterflies made in a previous blog post. For both these projects I designed paper backgrounds digitally so that each makes main focus would be the acetate butterflies.
This white deep box frame was sourced from Hobbycraft and measures at 19.5cm x 19.5cm square approx. The inner measurement for the printed background placed in the box frame is sized at 16.5cm x 16.5cm. This has a quote, textured paper and a frame with shadow on it to give a feeling of depth. The acetate butterfly sized at 6.5cm x 4.5cm is placed centrally and mixed gems added to the frame. The card is rectangular DL size 9.9cm x 21cm which worked really well for displaying three of the butterflies vertically with small decorative borders top and bottom for effect. I mounted this onto two pieces of coloured card.

Hope you enjoyed seeing the ideas, simple in their creation but effective. I will be working on a couple more different ideas later this month but for now hope you are keeping cool these hot sunny days of August, I am off for an ice-cream and to pop my feet in a cool bowl of water.

Take care everyone - Heather - xxx

This acetate works with inkjet printers, I just used the compatible inks which worked well.
