It has been another whirlwind of a week for us at 'Heathers Inspiration' HQ.  My husband Rob started a new job, our fence was repaired after the storms and lots of orders dispatched to our wonderful customers both new and returning. Thank you so much everyone we truly appreciate every order. I have been busy adding some lovely new things  and think I will be working over the weekend to list even more (no rest for the wicked!). Here's a peek at some of what's newly listed.

This beautiful set of die cuts is perfect for Spring and Summer Crafting.
They are dimensional and also self adhesive.
What a great vintage style set of cutting dies from Hunkydory
we stock a small selection of their dies along with other products in the shop.
We are also now stocking craft glue which drys clear. Perfect for your cardmaking and craft projects. To keep the price down we are selling in a bundle of six bottles.
This great stencil from Plaid - Folk Art can be used when painting/ distressing home decor projects, or equally for adding interest to backgrounds on cards and crafts.

Sweet Dixie Roses Clear Stamp Set With Versafine Ink & Watercolour.

Hi everyone,
...Sharing a simple make and some product insight today...

I do enjoy stamping and colouring/painting, so this week with the storm blowing outside it seemed the perfect time to have a play with two more products from the shop.
& some
I also used from my own crafty stash, watercolours, gems and some glossy accents.

Stamping onto card then allowing time for the ink to dry completely. Once ready it was time to paint, using watercolours and building up two layers of colour. I took a little time fussy cutting the roses and then glued onto the card, layering to give a decoupage style look, also placing tiny gems on each full bloom. A stamped sentiment was added to complete. The right hand image is painted and then coated in glossy accents for a future project, I think they look good for making beautiful toppers, cards and craft projects.
The ink I used was Versafine ink which you can watercolour or marker over once dry and it does not bleed. Versafine ink pads are a fast drying oil based pigment ink. The Onyx black is one I can recommend having used on many papercraft projects over the years. It will pick up the fine details of any intricate stamps giving you crisp fine detailed images and outlines. Acid-free, archival quality and fade resistant, perfect for card making, scrapbooking, stamping projects and all crafting.

This is the stamp set

Hope you enjoyed the product insight today.
We stock versafine in onyx black and vintage sepia if required.
We also have a lovely mix of stamps to choose from.

Have a lovely week

Mini Envelope Fun...Ideas and insights

Today  I am showing you all just how lovely this
'Rectangular Mini Envelope And Insert Die' is.
Designed by Sharon Callis Craft & Design (Sweet Dixie).
***
Available in store - with full details of size etc
I made three different cards as seen above each one incorporating either the mini envelope &/or insert. The dies cut beautifully and the envelope shape is very easy to fold.
(you will require craft glue or fine tape to adhere the corners of the envelope).
There are two dies in the set, the pictures show the cut shapes, plus a folded one.
Below images of each card and a little detail about them.
A 'Valentine' Card made using two of the envelope shapes and three inserts.
Gluing two of the envelopes back to back, created a free-standing mini card.
Using the insert shapes to fill, angling them and adding some freehand wording.
Then decorated with a few gems and a handmade heart embellishment.
I created a base to stand it on just for effect.
The central pink panel on this card was created with the insert die. Handy for adding a small feature/raised detail etc. Stamped and blended detail created using distress oxide ink and a beautiful Roses stamp set designed by Sue Dix.
This card incorporates the mini envelope with an insert on the front of it. Nice little touches of detail added include a stamped sentiment poking out from it, along with a mix of patterned paper, lace topper, molded handpainted flower and some twine which I knotted.

There are many more potential makes and somehow I think I might be using this die time and time again to add sweet touches to cards, scrapbook projects etc...
