Christmas Crafting Ideas

Hi everyone today I am sharing some Christmas crafting ideas for inspiration. Beautiful rustic Christmas cards & a tag. Snowflakes are the theme, inspired by the snow we had this week. I have to admit I do love them this time of year as Christmas heads our way.

I used a mix of several Sweet Dixie dies designed by Sue Dix which are listed below.

The items are made using a mix of diecutting, inking, stenciling & layering.
The tag was inked, blending colours, stencil work added along with diecuts.
A few additional embellishments, white dots drawn on & ribbon tied to finish.
The image above shows the outline that was left behind from the large diecut snowflake.
It was perfect for using as a stencil, inking the image onto the background of the card below.
A small die cut was added to the stencilled image for depth.
Simply decorated with sparkly stickles to complete.
Using the filigree star die, I snipped out the central detail turning it into a frame shape. After inking a little silver gilding wax rubbed on too.  A mix of ink, sparkle & a raised die cut in the middle. Tiny stars were excess from the die perfect to use as additional decoration on the card.
Double snowflake inked & rotated at opposing angles. Small snowflake on top.

Other items used from the shop

Foam pads, double sided tape, distress oxide inks
The colours were salvaged patina, peacock feathers & vintage photo.

From my own craft stash I used
Star dust stickles, a Hunkydory blank tag, ribbon & gems, card, white pen.

It is really nice mixing up the die cuts on projects.
Snipping in to them can often really transform things too as seen with the star frame.

Thanks for visiting the blog
