Father's Day - Thoughts & Ideas...

Thoughts and ideas for Father's Day makes and gifts.
(This year their special day falls on Sunday 21st June in the UK).
As I sat at my desk yesterday I was thinking to myself that cards with something on them that can be used/useful are a lovely and interesting idea to create. Bookmarks, fridge magnets, keyrings etc, there are many possibilities. So this morning I created one idea to show you. A card complete with a fridge magnet gift.
I die cut a Sweet Dixie 'Magical Moon' shape from sheet aluminium. Credit to Sue Dix for the die design. Painted it to bring out the detail and glued a small magnet on the back. Created a background with a little word art detail, using creative software which I then printed out. Added a little sparkle and detail to hand finish. Attached the gift using a second magnet and voila a lovely project for Father's Day.
What else could you pop on a card as a small gift ?
Perhaps a stamped and coloured image for a bookmark, a mini framed photo, or something yummy that you made ie fudge. That is of course if you do not eat it all first! We do stock some lovely products for handmade gifts in the online shop i.e.  'Self adhesive bookmarks'from Peak Dale Products for popping art, embroidery, metal embossing in.

There are lots more things to discover in the shop...
Blank fridge magnets, silk card kits, stencils, stamps, dies etc...
If you fancy a browse, here is the link
Look out for more ideas soon here on the blog & have a great week.
