Dare To Dream - Stamping Fun & Ideas

Creating With A Dream Catcher Stamp Set.
As I write this post I am typing away with blue and brass stained fingertips. It was definitely messy fun creating these card ideas. I used a wonderful Sweet Dixie stamp set called 'Dream Catcher' designed by Sharon Callis. Starting with plain white card and the following items: peacock feathers distress oxide ink, tarnished brass distress spray stain, blending tool, a small paintbrush, a white gel pen, small piece of dotty card, coloured sparkly gems and a white bow.

For the card below I used distress oxide ink, stamping the dreamcatcher onto white card then blended ink over it. This was cut out and then used white gel pen to highlight, adding a few extra dots and lines. I created the background paper by using the ink pad to randomly swipe over white card, adding splats of distress stain and lots of flicks of paint using the small brush. One of the stamps in the set 'Dare To Dream' I then randomly stamped on. Mounted onto the card with foam pads to elevate and a few gems to complete.
For this card the background colour tones are slightly different, I mixed peacock feathers and in addition tattered rose distress oxide ink, swiping and blending building up in layers. Again flicks and dots of distress stain and pen added. Black versafine ink used to stamp the dreamcatcher, which I hand coloured parts of painting on distress stain and colouring/highlighting with white gel pen and a few gems to complete.
The final card is a mix of a little stamped section that I cut out and coloured, layering onto handmade papers. A good way to use up small offcuts of card. Mounted onto some gold mirri and polka-dot card with a hand tied bow and a few gems.

We do stock this product (subject to availability) as part of a stamp bundle deal.
Along with distress oxide inks in a beautiful choice of colours, plus lots more too.
Hope you enjoyed the ideas, more coming to the blog soon.
Hugs Heather xxx
