A Filigree Star

Shining Bright 

One of the most recently launched Sweet Dixie dies designed by Sue Dix from the Christmas 2020 collection is called 'Filigree Star' SDD538.  It has such lovely patterns in the design and I created a quick little card project to show how pretty it is.

I cut out the star then used the blank cut out shape as a template to draw inside. Then cut out the plain shape to layer the die cut star onto using glue. Once dry, stuck this on to the card using a double layer of foam pads and decorated with a mini bow and mixed gems. The background is a mix of black card, patterned paper,silver mirri card along with lace and a few more gems.

This is my first play with the die and I have another project or two in mind to follow in a future post. Also some lovely thoughts on what you could create, maybe some starry bunting for your mantle piece or window, hanging decorations, place settings etc there are lots of possibilities.
