A Genuine Classic !

Birthday Card Idea
Today I took this 'Sweet Dixie' motorbike die SDD267 designed by Sue Dix for a test drive. The bike looks great when cut out and inked up. I used it as the centre piece of a small 6" x 6" Birthday Card idea which I designed today to share an idea & showcase a great product.
Using plain black card & the die to cut out the bike. Colouring some areas with a silver pen and finishing by blending a mix of inks & stain to give a slightly weathered look. Stuck down with small pieces of foam pad which were cut to size so they would not show & then mounted centrally. Inked the edges of the background before adhering to the card blank.
I designed the backing paper for this card, if anyone can use it in their own cardmaking projects feel free to save the jpeg and print it for personal use.

Below the card, die & die cut.
This was a quick project, just one idea & there as always are so many other interpretations you could create. Why not use coloured card to match a bikers own bike, making it more personalised to them.

Hope you liked it, look out for more ideas coming to the blog soon...
